Warm oil massage followed by a bath is the most nurturing way to end the day and age gracefully. If you cannot manage full body massage then at least one for the feet. You can do it yourself but even better have someone you love help you. Massage for older people should be gentle, slow and rhythmical. Touch is vital to both mental and physical health so take that care and treat yourself to fragrant oil that reduces vata. A short gentle stretch is a good idea before bed and some deep breathes. Try to get to bed at a regular time and try not to fall asleep in front of the TV. Avoid the evening news or any TV violence as they are too stimulating. Ayurveda suggests 10pm at the latest for lights out.
Before sleep take time for spiritual practice of some sort, prayer, meditation or mantra. Give thanks for a good day.
