Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Gel
Aloe Vera has been used externally to treat various skin conditions such as cuts, burns and eczema. It is believed that sap from Aloe Vera reduces inflammation. Scientific studies show that Aloe is also effective in treating dandruff.
The lower leaf of the plant is used for medicinal purposes. The lower leaf is sliced open to obtain Aloe Vera gel. Aloe Vera's beneficial properties are attributed to mucopolysaccharides present in the inner gel of the leaf.
